Aim and contents

The webinar "Culture in the Sustainable Development Goals" provides the essential information on the relation between Culture and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The webinar is a timely activity for decision-makers, planners and experts that are (or will be) involved in the effective consideration of culture in the localisation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Also, the webinar considers a wider perspective and explains why culture needs to be considered a dimension or pillar in long-term planning of local sustainable development.

The webinar is open to local and regional governments, and especially to officials and officers working in teams in charge of Planning, Community Development, Culture, Education, Heritage, Inclusion and Public Spaces.

The UCLG Culture Committee shapes this webinar according to the needs expressed by members. In other words, this webinar can be specifically prepared as a capacity-building activity for a group of key people working in the same government, or it can be designed as a peer-learning activity involving representatives of several governments.
